I definitly like the idea of being able to do a capstone project that makes a difference in the world in some way. NotSeenNotHeard is an integrated website/documentary video/story type of experience that is meant to raise awareness and funding for Indonesian recovery and sustainability in the aftermath of the tsunami disaster of 2004. This site actually won a Webby award, which is cool because it is the project of a couple of seniors in a NewMedia program at another college. I like that these guys actually went to Indonesia to film the personal stories of survivors, because I think it gives the site a lot more impact then just describing their own personal interpretations of the event.
